An in-depth property orientation is given to all new team members as well as specific training in the policies, procedures and skills needed for success in the respective positions in the property. New management team members meet together in Washington for a intense two day orientation to the company which is followed by specific curriculum of management and interaction skills training.
- Promotion from Within – Internal promotions are celebrated within the B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group. They indicate the successful development of our team and the growth of the individual. We are committed to the progress of our team members and provide specific paths for future advancement. Our Hotel Operations Training Program, HOTS, is a good example. This 12 week training program allows individuals from all disciplines to learn throughout the hotel and demonstrate the aptitude and interest in advancement.

Performance appraisals are conducted in a collaborative manner, twice annually for management team members, to measure progress and provide reinforcement.
